On Wednesday, Accenture Pic, a Technology services and outsourcing firm, said it has finalized an agreement with Nokia Corp, a Finnish mobile phone maker, to outsource the development and support of Nokia’s Symbian software to Accenture. The final deal is expected in the early part of October 2011. According to the agreement, Accenture will provide Symbian-based software development and support services to Nokia through 2016. Moreover, Accenture will support and further develop Nokia’s Symbian platform. Also Accenture will become the preferred supplier to Nokia on their transition to Windows Phone.
