iPhone Driver GPS Tracking Application Development
The GPS tracking iPhone application developed for a business company in mining industry. The client wanted to develop an iPhone GPS application that used for tracking and managing their vehicles in order to improve their management and customer services.
The application should provide GPS location, and can send any vehicles’ location to headquarters’ system and other drivers’ iPhone devices.
The Web Application Part
The new GPS tracking functionalities needed to embed in their current management system. The new GPS tracking module should be able to see an overview of the current situation at all times. The embedded web application allows users login to the system with different authorization user types, for example, admin or staff. Users can view drivers’ location on the electronic map, booking vehicles, etc. Users can contact drivers to guide them if they meet traffic jams. If the web application users found or received any emergence report from drivers, then the control center will forward these information or report to the appropriate department. The web application can generate various reports weekly, monthly and annually.
The iPhone Application Part
The iPhone application should be easy and quick to use. The application can received and check new messages, tasks, GPS location, and reports and send the information back to the control center. All the information receiving and sending smoothly without disturb drivers. The tabs adopted in order to reduce the redundancy of the user interface, similar to the web browsers. Via the GPS iPhone application, drivers can view their current journey, update their status, view list of jobs that allocated to them, etc. The iPhone application also provides a SOS button to call emergence help if the driver meets any accident during the trip.
